SAMSS seniors boys basketball team nabs 4th at Williams Lake tournament

The Bella Coola players were one of six teams competing

The Sir Alexander Mackenzie Secondary School seniors boys basketball team travelled to Williams Lake the first weekend of December to play in a tournament.

They came in fourth place out of six teams.

“This was the first tournament of the year and we needed to get the jitters out,” said coach Sony Legault. “We did pretty well. All the games were close games.”

Legault added the tournament was fun to be a part of.

Hosted by Lake City Secondary School, the tournament also had teams from Barriere, Quesnel, Ashcroft and 100 Mile House

This coming weekend there is another tournament in Williams Lake for junior boys basketball.
