Missing teenager Haileigh Archie, 17, was found safe Tuesday at an extended family member’s home on Kamloops North Shore.

Haileigh was reported missing Sunday night after she didn’t report back to her caregiver at a scheduled pick-up time. A selfie taken by Haileigh taken Monday afternoon and forwarded by her to family showed her wearing a black halter top and a blue jays ball cap. She may also be wearing yellow covered driving sunglasses.

100 Mile House RCMP Staff-Sgt. Svend Nielsen said they were notified by the Kamloops RCMP of the teen’s whereabouts and her caregivers immediately went to pick her up.

The 100 Mile House RCMP are continuing to work with Haileigh and her caregivers to ensure a safer environment for her. Further follow up will be completed in regards to her trip as well. The RCMP wishes to thank her family, Canim Lake Band as well as local and provincial media for their help.
