Commercial thinning of a 60-year-old second growth stand in conjunction with forest fuel reduction treatment is proposed for the Bella Coola Community Forest in the vicinity of Hagensborg.
The public and interested parties of the proposal are being invited to make comments on the proposal beginning on Thursday, Sept. 19 up until Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024.
A map of the proposed harvest area will be shown on the Forest Operations Map located on the Ministry of Forests online map portal,
https://fom.nrs.gov.bc.ca/public/projects where comments can also be posted.
There is also the opportunity to view the proposal by appointment at the Bella Coola Community Forest office at 1893 Hagensborg Road, in Hagensborg during
regular office hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A cutting permit or road permit over the area shown on the Forest Operations Map may be applied for during a three year validity period commencing
