Acwsalcta students tackled Bike to School Week with vigour last week, with students riding a total together of just under 200 kilometres. And, there was at least one student who completed their commute on training wheels!
Many of the student’s route took them along Highway 20 from the Bella Coola Townsite to Acwsalcta School at 4Mile, and RCMP escorts were much appreciated for their efforts to keep everyone safe.
“The RCMP were amazing,” said organizer and Special Education Teacher Doris Muise. “They showed up on days off!”
More biking events planned for the school include the Red Shreds Bike Day happening June 11.
